Chris McCormick,
Chris is a Fellow of the National Institute of Accountants and has an extensive background as a business manager in both Catholic and Government Schools. He was a Committee member of the Schools Canteen Buying Group Inc., and was serving as Treasurer of that organisation when it became ASCA.
Chris works full time and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the group and coordinates the work of the consultants in Victoria. He is the first point of contact for members and affiliates to resolve any difficulties with suppliers. Chris can be contacted on 1800 219 556 or 9415 7726.

Consultants
We employee two consultants who work during the school terms. They are each responsible for a specific geographic area (North or South of the Yarra River) and are the main point of contact for schools that are located within that area. We also employee four consultants on a casual basis.

(North of Yarra River including Country Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh and Geelong)

Lynn Kelsall, B. Education, Home Economics (Human Development).
Lynn is a qualified Home Economics teacher who has also worked extensively as a P-12 school canteen manager. Lynn is very experienced as a consultant and she is especially able to assist managers on the efficient and profitable operations of canteens drawing on her practical experience of canteen management. Lynn is also well versed in the Food act and Food Safety Issues.

Joanna Parlapiano, B. App. Sc., Dip. Ed., P. Grad. (Comm. Health)
Joanna possess qualifications in Nutrition, Health and Education. Her background in Education, Local Government, Community Health and Private Industry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her Consultancy role. Joanna's particular focus is in providing Healthy food options to Primary Schools. She can also advise in all areas of canteen operations-staff training, implementation of food systems (ISO Accreditation) and requirements of the Food Act.

Rosemary Schlittler
Rosemary is the newest member of the ASCA team in Victoria. She comes to us with a wealth of experience, having spent over 20 years as a Canteen Manager, mainly in Secondary Schools, as well as running her own catering business for a number of years. Rosemary`s hands on experience is invaluable. One of her key strengths is her proven ability to positively impact canteen profitability, with a strong track record of turning canteens from barely break even to a profitable venture. She also has a sound knowledge of the role the canteen plays within the school environment and a good understanding of the Healthy Food Guidelines. She is well placed to offer Schools and Canteen Managers good practical suggestions and assist with developing efficient canteen management.

Country Schools
Assistance from our consultants is also available to country schools to seek help or to arrange a visit please phone ASCA office on 1800 219 556.

Alan Pinkerton, B. Com., Dip. Ed., TPTC.
Alan was a school principal and was the Chairman of the Schools’ Canteen Buying Group Inc. for many years. He has a wealth of experience in canteen operations and can give advice on improving profitability, canteen design, and food handling issues.
Victoria wide specialist function.
Alan is responsible for the recruitment of new members and affiliates in Melbourne and country areas. Alan also looks after all vending machine requirements for ASCA.

Ann Crossley
Ann is a very experienced secondary canteen manager who also served for several years as a Committee member of the Schools’ Canteen Buying Group Inc. Ann is very knowledgeable about all aspects of canteen operations.

Ann is able to assist schools that wish to take over the operation of the school canteen or to establish a new canteen. She can assist with staff selection, staff training and the implementation of new systems of ordering, receiving goods as well as meeting food handling requirements.
